Claris release FileMaker 2024

Claris FileMaker 2024 introduces AI capabilities.

True to their release schedules, Claris have just released Claris FileMaker 2024, also known as FileMaker 21.01 in developer circles (remember Claris changed their naming convention last year to reflect the year of release, so FM 20 became FileMaker 2023).

So what is the big news with FileMaker 2024? The introduction of AI capabilities which offer ways for you to gain more value from your existing business data in a safe and responsible fashion. The release also offers new tools to build systems more quickly in a way that makes it easier to maintain, more secure and easier to deploy.

How does having AI help?

The AI features of FileMaker 2024 allow you to get the most from data you already have by offering more intuitive ways to use that data:

    • It gives users new ways to explore and learn from your company’s data
    • Allows users to ask questions using natural language and not complex queries.
    • Provides semantic searches to get answers from your data that you couldn’t previously.
    • Offers a simple way to add AI into your existing workflows with no risk to your systems and data.
